Heather Carter is the owner and operator of
A Diamond In The Ruff. She graduated from
Central Florida School of dog grooming in 1995.
Her love for animals and experience, shine
through in the love and quality she offers her
clients. Heather opened her first shop in Lake
Wales, Florida at nineteen. Her business was
successful until she moved to Kentucky three
years later. Heather also obtained her status of
"Master Stylist" from the prestigious Nash
Academy.  She was a manager at Lexington's
PetsMart for three years, when she decided to
open her original location in Winchester. A
Diamond In The Ruff opened in August of
2002. Recently in April of 2011 relocating to a
larger more accommodating facility. The new
Bed & Biscuit will offer not only grooming but
personal pet suites. Her loyal clients have kept
her business thriving. Heather is a creative and
artistic person. She has alway loved animals
and was commonly called "Ellie May" as a child.
She currently lives with her husband and son,
four horses, and six dogs in Mount Sterling.
